Simulating reservoirs
After completing the 3D modeling process you can simulate fluid flow through the reservoir over time. This process, known as reservoir simulation or dynamic modeling, is iterative and integrates data from the 3D (static) modeling workflows.
While JewelSuite does not include a built-in reservoir simulator, it provides connectors to several industry-standard simulators. The reservoir simulator connector workflows in JewelSuite allow you to work seamlessly with your preferred simulation software, including:
- IMEX™, GEM™ and STARS™ (products of Computer Modeling Group)
- ECLIPSE™ (a product of Schlumberger)
- tNavigator™ (a product of Rock Flow Dynamics)
For geomechanical simulations JewelSuite supports integration with:
- Abaqus™ (a product of Dassault Systèmes)
- FLAC3D™ (a product of Itasca)
For Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) models JewelSuite supports integration with:
- ConnectFlow™ (a product of Jacobs Engineering Group)
The Hydraulic Fractures modeling workflow inJewelSuite allows you to model hydraulic fractures within the reservoir for your dynamic simulation grid.
